I’ d guess it would sell for less. Makes sense . N ot truck- like enough with a unibody might have had a hand in it too .

The Durango was probably cheaper to build, with its more old-fashioned truck construction; which also probably suited the more downmarket positioning of Dodge. IIRC, one of the main reasons behind Chrysler’s acquisition of American Motors was to bring in Jeep’s more affluent customer base (Grand Wagoneer buyers had the highest median household incomes of any domestic brand vehicle, including Cadillac and Lincoln, and the ZJ was designed with them in mind - spawn ing the short lived 1993 Grand Wagoneer ).
